Case Illustration: Pathologic Humerus Fracture Treated with IlluminOss

A patient diagnosed with multiple myeloma presented with a pathologic proximal humerus fracture. The fracture necessitated fixation for the bone defect and was treated surgically. Through a small incision, an IlluminOss implant was inserted to provide fill and stability to the uncontained defect. The implant was then filled with liquid monomer and cured with visible light. Attention was then placed to supplement the fracture with a plate and screw construct. After surgical treatment, the patient was able to resume infusion therapy immediately.
