Case Illustration - Pathologic Humerus Fracture - 69-year-old Female

A 69-year-old female patient diagnosed with multiple myeloma presented with a pathologic humerus fracture. The patient was treated with infusion therapy for myeloma and underwent a closed reduction and IlluminOss placement to repair the fracture. Through a small incision, an IlluminOss implant was inserted to provide fill and stability to the uncontained defect. The implant was filled with liquid monomer and cured with visible light. The patient was then able to resume radiation and infusion therapy immediately. At follow up, the patient was doing well with good range of motion of her arm.
